By Now, you all must have guessed that i am more of a skincare blogger than a makeup blogger. I am a sucker for good skincare products and my thinking goes like “if you invest in good skincare products. you will not have to spend on expensive makeup or surgeries or wrinkles later”!
My favorite brands when it comes to skincare are Kama Ayurveda, Forest Essentials and Clinique. I like using natural chemical free skincare products and that is why more emphasis on Kama Ayurveda and FE. I recently got a face mask from Kama Ayurveda called “Lavanya Natural Plant Mask”. My skin type is combination towards oily in summers. I have fairly even skin with a few spots here and there and a bit of uneven-ness around the mouth area.
Ingredients: Sweet Flag(Anti-Microbial) , Liquorice (Anti-Microbial) , Lodhra(Blood-Purifier) & Coriander (Skin-cleanser).
Kama Ayurveda Lavanya Natural Plant Mask comes in a very cute packaging of a tin with a tiny wooden spoon for using the mask. The powder face pack is secured inside in a polythene cover. You have to mix an adequate amount of the powder with water to form a paste and then use it like a mask. The powder is ochre yellow in colour and the fragrance is ayurvedic but nothing bothersome. The mask is supposed to be left on the skin for 20-25 minutes and then washed off with water. I have used this mask 4 times till now and here is what i have to say.
This mask has tiny granules which give a mild scrubbing effect when washed. It gives a calm soothing effect to my skin and reduces inflammation if any. It deep cleanses my skin and purifies it. The strong herbal concoction tingles a bit but that shows that it is working. It doesn’t dry out the skin like other powder face masks. The ayurvedic fragrance gives a spa like effect and helps in relaxation. It doesn’t treat any major skin problems but if you want a deep cleansing mask, this is perfect. The fact that it does not contain preservatives & chemicals and is against animal testing only makes it more worth it!
