The Body Shop Lightening Touch Universal Radiance- A perfect dupe of Benefit High beam!

Yes..you heard it right!! Stop blinking your eyes! I think we have found a dupe of the beloved cult famous benefit High Beam!!  I got high beam as a part of the “Benefit finding Mr. Bright kit” along with Poisetint, Girl meets pearl and Erase paste. They are like miniature samples and i used them so sparingly in the fear that they will get over soon and it is tough to get our hands over Benefit products in India. But Lo & Behold!! I was browsing through The Body Shop India website when they were offering a 50 % discount on selected products. So i got this The Body Shop Lightening Touch Universal Radiance !

When i saw this, i thought this was an under-eye brightening concealer type of product. There were no reviews on the net which i could check. So i ordered this just on a whim. When it came, i swatched it and i was like ….noooooo…this will make me look like a disco ball! This story ends here.

2nd part of the story:- one day i was arranging all my makeup in the little makeup storage boxes i have and i saw my beloved high beam. I realized i saw a similar product somewhere and swatched these both side by side. They are very very similar. So instead of “under-eye brightener” as it is marketed …this is a perfect highlighter for face.

This comes in a silver packaging  where you rotate the bottom of the pen for the product to come out. The product itself is very lightly shimmery and not overly glittery. It is light champaigne pink in colour. I usually mix a little amount with my foundation or bb cream for an overall glow. You can also apply it on the highest areas of your face that is the nose bridge and the cheekbones. You have to be very careful with the quantity because any more and you would be covered in shimmer.

This comes in a 3 ml packaging at 1395 INR  which is expensive because the full size bottle of 13 ml of high beam comes at 1800 INR but it solves the availability issue which benefit has plus it is on offers very frequently where you can buy it at half the price like i did at 690 INR.

Do i prefer High Beam or TBS Lightening Touch:- Both are perfect in their own worlds. High Beam is a subtle complexion enhancer while this is a pure highlighter!!!

Obsessed with benefit products ya, hoola bronzer is my favourite of the lot and pozie tint and their new launch majorette is in my next wish list. Great dupe.. but dont see using this product often so ill give it a miss.
btw, have u tried tbs honey bronzer? My benefit hoola is getting over, already hit pan with it. So wanted to know about tbs honey matte bronzer. And yes, reviews on tbs extra virgin mineral loose powder as well. have u tried them before?

I am not too fond of TBS makeup Anusha…in love with their skincare but this highlighter is the first TBS makeup product i tried..but according to the reviews..the honey bronzer definitely sounds amazing….the feedback about the extra virgin loose powder is not that good though…i tried it at the store once and did not like its feel!

very nice article. I have this one and Yves Rocher Touche Eclat. Although a lot of difference is there, I still think TBS one is a decent one.
