The Body Shop India Lip & Cheek Velvet stick 35- Review & Swatches

It seems like The Body Shop week on Pinkrimage. Β After the amazing Camomile makeup remover, the newly launched velvet lip and cheek sticks have caught my fancy. These are very cute roll up sticks which can be used as a blush or lipstick. There are total 5 shades. For all the swatches, you can go check out my friend’s Shayoni’s blog here. I have the shade 35 with me because i didn’t like any other shade from the range.

The Body Shop India Velvet Lip & Cheek Stick 35 is a coral shade which can be used as a blush or a lip stain. The texture is completely matte and as the name goes, velvety! The stick can be rolled up and used. The quantity is great when you see it for the first time but as you start using this, your excitement goes spiralling down as the pigmentation is very disappointing. You have to swipe multiple times just for the colour to show on your lips. On the cheeks, one or two swipes are fine to get the lightly flushed cheeks i want. The pigmentation could have been overlooked if the staying power was fine. But it just disappears. It stays for maybe an hour on the lips and 2 hours on the cheeks which is extremely disappointing for the price you pay. I loved the shade but pigmentation, staying power and price is not worth INR 995!

Price: INR 995

Ohh this seems like a dud, if it requires lot of swipes to show up on your skin, its definitely not worth it :/

opps 995 Rs!! Bit expensive and it does not stay for longer period of time!
Would like to skip then.. I am happy with my tender care lip balm πŸ˜€

  4. Love the color and it look great both as a lip and cheek stain, should try these out

This is and interesting launch!! Good to have it in the clutch product! Specially when you don’t want to carry too much but have everything on the go!

Nice shade but too expensive πŸ™

You have reviewed it nicely. But the product is heavy on oily skin ladies specially in the humid summer. Otherwise its good on lips.

I have noticed this problem with many of body shop products..there products are not pigmented at all.. I tried their kohl, lipstick and eyeshadow.. πŸ™ Now this too
