I still remember the first time i heard about Bobbi Brown when i was in 10th standard and Gauhar Khan’s imitation of “keeping up with the kardashians” called “Khan sisters” used to come on TV. They had gone to Dubai and had shopped at the Bobbi Brown store there. I wasn’t into makeup then and now that I am…we all know how the best beauties in the world swear by Bobbi Brown makeup!
So this was my first visit to the Bobbi Brown store and like everybody, i thought i will go to the store and buy everything i always wanted to try from the brand. Sadly..that didn’t happen for sure. When i saw the products in the store, i didn’t feel like buying anything. Anything at all. The SA was very nice and i wanted to try this eyeliner and she sweetly did a cat eye on me with this. Not love at first sight but not bad. It was a shimmery green eyeliner. Ok no big deal. But then…the SA said that this piece is still available at the old price i.e. 1540 which as now bumped to 1900. I KNOW RIGHT?? This is the moment for us girls when the product is just meant for us!
Enough of the story. Bobbi Brown Ivy Shimmer Ink Gel Eyeliner is a shimmery green eyeliner which comes in a bulky glass jar. I apply it with my Maybelline gel liner brush. The shade is a very muted shimmery green. it is not the rich royal Jade eyeliner i imagined it would be. I am sure the boy won’t even notice the color difference. He will just say that they are all green! It stays on for a pretty long time like 7-8 hours and does not smudge till you don’t want it to. It is perfect for those green smokey eyes because the texture is really smudge-able and gives a great smokey look. The liner itself is pretty soft and the shimmer is fine and not chunky.
Overall..It looks gorgeous but i can get the same effect with my Revlon colorstay one stroke glazed green eyeliner. Nice to splurge on if you want to change from black but nothing mind-blowing about this one!
Price:- 1540 INR. If you want a dupe..go here.
So what do you girls think? Worth the hefty price tag?
